Oh my GOD! Two college students are wearing jeans, have book bags, and are carrying the same umbrella on a rainy day! Alert the media!!!!!

it would be a lame photo, sweetheart, except EVERYONE seems to look like this and its just exemplary of "all y'all." but your sarcasm is MUCH more hilarious than this.

It is a lame photo, sweetie. Two people looking alike just isn't that funny.

But 300 people looking alike is epic.

I would like to add that I do see the 'humor' in this photo. But really? So they have the same umbrella. It's probably just what they have at Target right now, and North Face just makes really good weather-proof jackets.

Where are the matching rainboots?!

Also, come on guys...they have the same umbrella, jacket, AND bookbag. That's pretty funny.

I agree but it would've been funnier if they'd been wearing skirts, tights, AND the same rain boots.

sorry to burst your bubble but... said...
they actually don't have the same bookbag. the front one has the elastic-y cords and the back on has the strap on the bottom part the other one doesn't. nice try though.

and it isn't even the same jacket. one is a tri-climate and one is a raincoat, not to mention brown ≠ black

and those are the current umbrellas at target and walmart right now. $7.99.

The hex code (≠) should be the not equal to symbol, but evidently OSA doesn't support that key on my keyboard.

i wonder why you don't think this is funny? maybe because you're offended because this could be you. i'm basing that on your ridiculous knowledge of north face products. you sound like you're employed my north face. "one is a tri-climate?" jesus christ.

02/21/2009, 11:01 AM

I don't get offended, sorry. said...
Actually my umbrella is solid black, my most worn jacket is a plaid pea coat, and my backpack is LLBean.

I just pay attention to details and looked at the picture determining all that from differences.

The REAL question in this picture should be what the EFF are those hideously bright pink shoes that girl is wearing, and who let her out in public wearing them?

I'm sure Northface does make great outdoor products but Athens is not effing Mt. Everest. A little rain does not require $500 worth of outdoor wear.

I will admit the umbrella thing has happened to me on campus though.

haha. agreed! and carrying books does not require a $100 daypack. if you buy the northface/ugg/vera bradley combo, you might as well just wear a big sign that says "i have no style."

02/24/2009, 12:42 AM

A said...
oh, and a second sign that says "i have money to burn." i guess that's why the products are popular in the first place??

02/24/2009, 5:15 PM

SK said...
Haha, you assume that they actually have books in those backpacks? Your estimation is high.

It's probably their trendy macbooks they got this Christmas so they can be cool AANNNDDDD not pay attention in class at the same time.

I get the humor in this picture! It really would have been better though if they both were wearing Nike running shorts, those horrible plain white V-neck t-shirts, and the same rainboots. Now that's a stereotype!

03/11/2009, 9:28 PM

what? said...
What the hell is wrong with plain white v-neck shirts??? I guess if you pay $20/each for a cotton shirt from american apparel I could understand, but I get packs of hanes white undershirts from walmart all the time and I love them. In general are we stereotyping 'plain white v-neck shirts' now? I must be so out of the fashion loop I wasn't even aware I was unconsciously being stereotyped as a rich white uga student. good to know...

03/16/2009, 1:20 PM

The manly V-neck said...
Yes, v-necks are a stereotype. That whole "i spend too much time looking like i didnt spend any time on my looks" look. Not necessarily rich, but they sometimes go together.

I think most people dont find the humor in this photo because they are so desensitized to the monotony of UGA "style."

This pic looks shopped check the left side of the umbrella of the chick in the foreground.

Liz A. said...
I think that's just the velcro strap to wrap the umbrella up inside.

Ha! Not only did you abbreviate "photoshopped" to "shopped," but you're also an idiot.
