This post is awful. Maybe this girl has a thyroid problem, maybe her parents were too ignorant or poor to teach her about proper nutrition, maybe she's an emotional eater, or maybe none of those things- point is you don't know her and how sad or hard her life is.

I understand the shirt is ironic, but come on, have a heart.

Did you, "chub chaser" even for 1 second think about how humiliated and devastated this girl would be if she ever sees this??!

its just a fat girl. i'm fairly certain she knows she's fat. so what. why is her life automatically tragic and in need of anonymous folks on the internet to defend her? sew up your bleeding heart and laugh once in a while.

what's the problem with sweatpants? if there is ever a time to wear sweatpants in public, it's college. and i agree, i feel bad for this poor girl. i just hope she doesn't see this.

I have no sympathy for this girl. She did this to herself! She's fat she knows it and she wore a "PHAT CAMP" shirt in public and some tight ass sweatpants! Come on now, seriously!

that's not an ironic shirt - it's a place in Thailand.

she apparently traveled there last year (and ate a couple small Thai children?)

I'm actually more amused by the comments to the picture than the picture itself. Just sayin'.

Okay, so we're all allowed to make fun of:
*sorostitutes (who probably can't help being shallow and dumb),
*nerds (who shouldn't HAVE to apologize for being intelligent yet socially awkward),
*people who work at Zaxby's (who probably didn't finish high school, so shouldn't be held accountable for their inability to spell),
*girls with whale tails (who can't help that their pants just won't stay up when they sit down), and even
*people in wheelchairs (who can't be held accountable for not being able to roll themselves up hills),

yet we're not allowed to make fun of fat people? I mean, this picture did make me cringe a little because I can't imagine how I would feel if it was me in the picture, but how is this girl exempt from our insults when all of the above people (who also appear on this site), are not?

Just sayin.

There IS a website for fashion don'ts in Athens, http://ugastyle.blogspot.com/. Although, after looking at it, the only 'do' is apparently skinny jeans and oversized American Apparel tops. Still, sweatpants are tragic.

has it occurred to anyone (ahem, liz) that she may have gone to either the bootcamp style PHAT Camp and already lost weight and is really proud of that? oh, and when i go out in sweats i am sometimes headed to THE GYM. or maybe she's totally happy with who she is and how she looks. i'd rather be fat and nice than skinny and rude.

OR....

there's a non-profit called Phat Camp for young people who have body and gender issues and it's amazing.

all philosophical arguments about who we can pick on aside, this is a split second in this person's life and none of us know who she is at all.

has it ever occured to any of yall that her shirt says "PHAT camp" NOT "FAT camp" obviously if she went 2 "FAT CAMP" it would say that. Maybe yall need 2 go hit up webster, becuz last time I checked "phat" doesn't even mean "fat"...phat is slang for excellent or 1st-rate.
