does this coal tower go to snelling?

Historic preservationists were horrified when this coal tower was replaced by the Multi-Modal Center next to downtown.

I was, at least. That "multi-modal" center is garbage.

Coal Tower? Really? Is that the most important thing you can complain about? Live moves on. Guess when gas gets to be more than 5 bucks a gallon, you guys will love the multi-modal center?

No, not really. Unless it actually serves some multi-modal purpose. As I remember, bus service worked just fine before this ultra-expensive bus stop was built. By the way, Greyhounds still stop by the Subway on Broad St. and there ain't no "brain train".

So far as I'm concerned, bus service doesn't work as well now. MMC is out of the way, and, as you said, there's nothing "multimodal" about it.

They are trying to make it to where a train can go through there too not just buses as well as other kinds of transportation.

Don't know how you can say bus service works "just fine" if the old City Hall bus stop only had so many bus bays that were all in use, and Athens Transit planned on increasing service... where would the added buses have gone?
